What’s your role at Clearhill and what does a typical day look like for you?

As the Talent and Culture Manager, my role focuses on attracting great people, developing them, and nurturing a positive and engaging work environment. A typical day might involve anything from onboarding new hires and running training sessions to reviewing policies, supporting managers with people matters, or driving wellbeing and engagement initiatives.

What’s your favourite part of your job?

Helping people thrive. Whether it’s seeing someone grow into a new role or creating a positive shift in team culture, knowing I’ve played a part in someone’s journey is incredibly rewarding.

What’s one work-related tip or tool you couldn’t live without?

Microsoft Teams. It’s my lifeline for staying connected with both the team and the wider business. Being able to complete part of the recruitment process online saves so much time while still connecting with candidates.

How would you describe the team culture in three words?

Positive, ambitious, evolving.

What’s been a proud moment or project during your time here?

Strengthening our employee engagement framework and seeing measurable improvements in team morale and communication – it reinforces that listening and acting on feedback makes a real difference. More casual coaching on people matters is proving to be successful in all areas of the business.

What does Lean mean to you, in your role?

In Talent and Culture, Lean is about streamlining people processes – cutting unnecessary admin, making systems user-friendly, and constantly improving how we support and engage our people with maximum impact and minimum friction. Lean is a mindset!

What’s a fun fact people might not know about you?

I have taken part in quite a few Strictly Come Dancing competitions for charity. It was absolutely terrifying and exhilarating all at once!

What was your first-ever job?

I worked part-time in Lisburn leisure centre in the little café. I learned early on how important customer service and a friendly smile really are. Valuable lessons like do not forget the sugar on the side of the cuppa tea, it was real character-building stuff!

What’s your go-to karaoke song (even if just in the car)?

Man! I Feel Like a Woman by Shania Twain. It’s upbeat, empowering, and a guaranteed crowd-pleaser LOL – even if it’s just me singing (badly) in the car. I have not 1 note in my head!

What motivates you at work?

Creating a workplace where people feel valued, heard, and supported. If I can help make Clearhill a place where people genuinely want to be, I consider that a good day’s work & I just want to do a good job.
